Why does it cost more than a calendar from the store?
A store calendar is printed by the thousands, with pictures of other people’s pets. Yours is made for one family: brand-new paintings of your own pet in the style you choose, checked against your photos, printed on thick, silky paper and shipped to your door for free. And our small team helps you from your first photo until it is on your wall.
Your calendar is $52, with free shipping. That works out to less than $5 for each month it hangs on your wall.

Most custom pet art is a single picture. Your calendar is a whole set: a painting for every month, one for the cover, and a birthday picture for each pet, painted right into its day. That’s 14 paintings for one pet, plus one for each pet you add, all in the same style. And you can have any of them painted again or changed in your own words, up to 6 times each, before anything is printed.
Can I see it before I pay?
Yes. Choose a style and we paint four months of your own pet for free, usually in a couple of minutes. There is no card to enter and no account to make: we only ask for your email, to save your preview.
How good is the artwork?
Every picture is painted from your own photos by Google’s image AI, a computer program that paints pictures. So every picture starts from your own pet: never a stock animal, and never a face pasted onto someone else’s picture. When you order, every month is painted in full detail and compared with your photos by a second Google program, and one that falls short is painted again, up to two more times, so we can keep the best. Extra checks look for the mistakes owners notice most, like a tail your pet doesn’t have or a wrong year written into the picture. Each month is drawn large (2400 x 1792 pixels) and enlarged to 300 dots per inch for the printer.
What if a picture doesn’t look like my pet?
You see every picture before anything is printed. Any month or the cover can be painted again, or changed in your own words (just tell us what should look different), up to 6 times each, and the birthday pictures can be changed too. If one still isn’t right, tell us in the chat and we will help. Nothing goes to the printer until you approve every page.
What are the paper and printing like?
Pick it up and you can feel it: thick coated paper with a soft, silky sheen that shows off the art without glare (100 lb cover in the US and Canada, 250 gsm in the UK and Europe). Every page is printed in rich, full color on professional presses, with a metal binding along the top and a hole to hang it by. Each page is 11 by 8.5 inches and opens to 11 by 17 on your wall (A4 pages in the UK and Europe). You also get the file we print from and every month’s picture on your order page, at no extra cost.
Is shipping included, and how fast is it?
Yes. Shipping is free to the US, Canada, the UK and every EU country, with tracking, and nothing is added at checkout. Every calendar is printed to order, close to where it is going: from February to September 2026, every calendar we made for the US, Canada and the UK was printed in the country it was going to. Most arrive within five to seven business days after you approve your pictures, and in the busy weeks before the holidays it can take a little longer. If yours arrives damaged or with a printing mistake, we will send a new one at no cost.
Can I reach a real person?
Yes. We are a small team in Vancouver, Canada: Roman and Rose started My Dog Calendar in January 2026, with their own dachshund, Minnie. Reply to any of our emails and a person will answer you. There is also a chat on every page: our AI assistant answers first, day or night, and hands you to one of us whenever you need a person.

Does this work for pets other than dogs?
Yes! We support dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, and even people. You can also mix multiple pets (and humans) in the same calendar.
Can I add multiple pets?
Yes! Upload photos for each pet separately and our AI places them together in every scene.
How does the AI image generation work?
Upload photos of your dog and our AI (powered by Google Nano Banana 2) generates 12 unique images matching your chosen theme, painted from your own photos and checked against them. You can ask for up to 6 changes to any picture, in your own words or as a new painting, until you approve your calendar.
What if I don't have good photos of my dog?
Photos are required so the calendar actually looks like your dog. Any clear shots work, phone snapshots and candids included, as long as your dog is in decent light and roughly in focus. Upload 1–5 photos from a few different angles, so we can see their face, coat and markings clearly.
My pet has unique colors/markings. Will these appear in the generated images?
We paint every month from your photos and check each one against them. Adding a few words about a special detail (for example "white patch on chest, black-tipped ears") helps too. If a month isn't quite right, you can have it painted again or changed, up to 6 times, before you approve, and trying again on a picture that did not come out is free.
How many photos should I upload?
1-5 photos work great. More photos from different angles help the AI understand your dog's appearance better. Clear, well-lit photos produce the best results.
How long does the whole process take?
Choosing your photos takes about ten minutes, and your free preview of four months is painted in a couple of minutes. When you order, we paint the whole calendar, usually in under an hour and never more than 24 hours, and email you when it is ready to check. Once you approve every page, most calendars arrive within five to seven business days.
Do you ship internationally?
We ship free to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and every country in the European Union. Every calendar is printed to order, close to where it is going.
What sizes are available?
Customers in the United States and Canada receive a 11″ x 8.5″ (Letter landscape) format. Customers in the United Kingdom and Europe receive a 210 mm × 297 mm (A4 landscape) format.
Can I edit the AI-generated images?
Yes! After your calendar is painted, and until you approve it, you can tell us in your own words what should look different in any picture, or have it painted again. Each picture can be changed up to 6 times, and trying again on a picture that did not come out is free. If one still is not right after that, chat with us and we will help.
Do I get a digital version?
Yes, with every printed calendar, at no extra cost. Your order page holds the high-resolution file we send to the printer and every month’s picture on its own, so you can reprint a favorite, frame one or share it.
What themes are available?
Right now we offer these art styles: Watercolor, Nature, Adorable, Picture Perfect, Oil Painting, Funny Cartoon, American, and Canadian.
Can I get a refund?
Each calendar is made just for you, and you approve every picture before we print, so we can't offer a refund if you'd like a picture changed afterwards. If it arrives damaged or with a printing mistake, we'll replace it.
